well, unfortuneately im still in the same position i've been in for years(basically a sheltered bum) so i havent had an opportunity to get anything new, but ninja gaiden sounds kick ass.

out of the games i do have, i personally like splinter cell(pandora tomorrows out soon, i think, if it aint already out), which is way more stealth based than any other spy game. hell some missions you can't even kill or trip any alarms at all.

still like x-men next dimension(fighting) not very popular compared to other fighters, and its not console exclusive, but like i said before pyro and and a bar/restaurat/alley stage are.

like spider-man too, but it's also not console exclusive and it's basically in the same veign as double dragon and whatnot(with spideys wall crawling, web slinging abilities). so you either like that type of thing or you don't.

crazy taxi 3 - depends on how you liked the others though, this is basically more characters, 1 more stage and different crazy box stuff.

blood omen 2(not console exclusive) - very gory, naturally as you use kain to decapitate, rip hearts out and whatever else.

lok: defiance(not console exclusive either) - basically more of the same as blood omen 2, just you use raziel as much

jet set radio future - if you liked the first one, this ones a little eaier, you're not timed anymore, and spraying is way easier. still, same crazy stunts though

max payne games(1 and 2), and dead to rights( neither console exclusive) - blowing shit up with guns and shit. you do get melee sequences with dtr though.

dead or alive 3 - not for the scenery, i actually like it, i've never seen the drunken fist style explore more in a game before, which new character brad lee brings to the table. plus the double teams you can do with some characters are pretty kick ass.

munch's oddysee - strange, but fun game. basically puzzle/platform, but it includes some kick ass abilities, like tossing other creatures around and posessing enemies, at which point you can insult other enemies.

halo - pretty much goes without saying at this point.

shenmue 2 - sure theres a dc version, but theres english voices that aren't as monotone as they were last time. plus it has a console exclusive mode, forgot what it was, mighta been the snapshot thing, not sure.

soul calibur 2 - let's see, link(medieval weaponry) or heihachi(hand to hand) or friggin spawn(fireballs, levitation and a big ass one handed axe). i'll go with spawn

lotr:return of the king(not console exclusive) - you get to eventually use the whole damn fellowship, cept with fahrimir in place of borimir.

morrowind - very free rpg, if you're not used to stuff like fallout, arcanum, or the other 2 elder scroll games(arena, and daggerfall, both pc only) this might be turn off. otherwise you make your own spells, take on the quests you want, join whatever guilds, become a vampire if you choose to(lycanthorpy[becoming a wherewolf] is avaialble in the game of the year edition i think), etc.

star wars: knights of the old republic - kinda like morrowind, but much more linear, but unlike morrowind(you'd get hunted down if you made a bounty of 5000) you really can go evil if you choose to. it even affects your npcs by the end of the game and the ending.

Morrowind (Maybe)
Rent Munche's Odyssey beofre buying

N, can you play XB Halo with keyboard and mouse? if so, I'll rent it, and try playing it again.

JSR Future doesn't have a time limit? Good, I hated that ont he original (Made me feelt oo on the edge)

I've played Halo on XB a bunch at friend's house... hate the controls. I can't stand any FPS on controller, only two I can put up with is GoldenEye and Perfect Dark, but all these dual trigger aiming and moving screws me up.

I borrowed PC Halo from a friend for a month, though only played a bit, cause didn't like it too much. I'll probably just rent Halo2 whenever it comes out.

Well Halo 2 will have nearly the exact same controls.

Only difference so far is you hold down Y to dual weild, however they might do something with the D-Pad.

The x-box controller FPS setups are always well tuned, and typically FPS's leave you options to customise it and alter the stick sensitivity. However, i can understand Xellos' disliking of them. While i personally get along with controllers fine, i do see the mouse+keyboard setup as a little more versatile and easier to use.

IRT N - Good, if it aint broke, dont fix it. Dual wielding should be fun too. ^_^

Yep.

Basically if you have a weapon that can be used one handed (Plasma Pistol, Plasma Rifle, SMG, Needler) out and you walk over another one handed weapon, you can hold Y down and pick it up. However you lose the ability to throw 'nades (you only have two hand and it balances it out) since you use the L trigger to fire the left weapon and R trigger to fire the right. You also cannot melee, but pressing B will throw down the gun you are holding in the left hand. You cannot dual weild things like Battle Rifle, Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, or any other two handed weapon for that matter.

As for the controller vs. keyboard thing, I still like my controller better. Sure you can aim better with the mouse, but you can't do as much stuff while moving as easily.

Eh, I always had a problem moving and aiming with controllers. With keyboard, you can be jumping, landing, dodging, and picking any wep in your inventory with 1 hand. Then just aim and shoot wiht mouse

With all the new features being incorporated into Halo 2, as well as the (in my opinion) far superior graphics, i think the original will become very much obsolete. I just hope they include some of the original multiplayer levels (i mean, how can they dismiss Blood Gulch?).

I guess you're more used to the keyboard-mouse. See I'm used to the controller. I can do all of that with a controller. (However there is no "land" button, the engine handles that. :-p)

You know, I don't think you can, with any official stuff at least.

It is possible that some third party company offers it, you might want to look around. (I usually don't order stuff like that off the internet.) So I really can't say.

However I will say, I have a friend who has the HPC version and he plays it with Keyboard and Mouse, but he has also played the XBox version with the controller. He said he liked the XBox version better, just because the control layout is easier. And it's probably easier to do some stuff like move, duck, look, throw a nade and melee at the same time. Because on HPC you'd have to hold down W (move forward), move the mouse around, hold down your duck key, then click the right mouse button, and then hit your melee key. On Xbox all you have to do is click down the left control stick and hold it forward, move the right control stick, click the L trigger, then press B.

IMO it's simpler on Xbox controls.

But if you prefer keyboard and mouse (however I still suggest giving the XBox controls a shot), you probably could find a third-party vendor.
